She quickly averted his eyes, as they met, nearly blowing her mission in a brief moment. The large crowd was an advantage, giving her plenty of hiding spots. Following his steady pace, the brunette tried to keep up with Kadota. Wondering why the sly informant requested such trivial service, keeping an eye over "Dotachin".

The man brushed past people, scratching at the nape of his neck once more, smoothing down the hairs that stood on end with the feeling of being spied upon. Deciding that he’d been thinking on, and considering, that he was being stalked much too long, he walked diagonally, knowing from walking this path so many times in his life exactly where a bench would be, and knowing that at this time of day it was probably unoccupied. After all, many other people were heading places and doing their best to keep busy.

After sitting and removing the cap from his head, he sighed and surveyed his surroundings once more. He just needed to rest, is all, right?

I wanna know what people assume about me because of my tumblr. Put an assumption in my ask. I'm not gonna be mean, I'm very interested.

It’d been a long day for him and he was now looking forward to relaxing on the couch with a cold beer in hand and watching something on the television— unless sleep overtook him first, which seemed rather likely to him at this point. He just felt so tired recently, and there wasn’t much he could do about it.

Maybe I should eat better… He thought to himself, tilting his head thoughtfully and staring into the window of a small cafe he passed, eyeing the people sitting at the tables with an unreadable expression in his taupe eyes. Perhaps he was jealous of their free time, or for having so much money to waste on expensive drinks, more milk than coffee. Or maybe he just happened to be watching the people, the way they interacted with their friends. It’s been a while since I’ve had much time for Dollars stuff. I wonder what the others are up to right now? Maybe I could meet up with them soon.

With a sigh aimed at himself, he rubbed at the back of his head, removing his black cap as he did so and shoving it deep into his pocket. The hat had become something of his trademark and many people recognized him thanks to it, but he wished to feel what little breeze there was running through his hair, slicked-back as it was.

Dammit. I hate being this tired. 』

He shoots a smile at beautiful male in regard “interesting” comment, his brows raised slightly. Of course the infamous informant kept some tabs on them, he and Saburo and the other two were well-known Dollars members involving themselves in almost any situation that they could manage.

“I’m pretty much self employed.” He responded, shrugging his shoulders slightly. “I guess you can say I’m kind of a builder; I fix walls and I can do tile.” He grinned, subconsciously rubbing at his hands in an attempt to remove some of the debris that may have been left over from his job.

In the crowded streets of Ikebukuro, a petite foreigner stood out in the crowd. All eyes were set on her, such stares are a common behavior towards foreigners in Japan, but her exotic beauty did break quite a few necks. The brunette was having a hard time keeping track of Kadota, luckily he was tall enouth to see from a distance.

Taupe eyes locked, half-lidded, on the path in front of him, the man with the knit cap over his hair removed one hand from his pockets to rub at the nape of his neck. The hair there was standing on end, from what he felt was a person watching him from somewhere. He was attempting to not be too paranoid, as it was a crowded street and he was an obvious Dollars member (or leader, as some seem to believe).

Casting a searching gaze over his shoulder, he thought he locked eyes with a beautiful girl in the crowd, but he couldn’t see her the next second, probably due to the swift moving people trying to get home, to work, wherever. As he turned his eyes quickly forward again, he stuffed his hand deeply into its former place in his jacket pocket and attempted to ignore the shiver that traveled the length of his spine signaling him that he was being watched.

“Tch.” I never thought of myself as being paranoid. He rationalized inwardly with an amused smile on his face. Now isn’t a good time to start, either.

Izaya and I may not have been very close, but sometimes it was fun with just the two of us. He and I, when Kishitani and Shizuo weren’t around, would eat lunch together on the roof. It was during these times that the now-information broker would share with me some of his “secrets”, which I was to trade for secrets of my own. When I didn’t feel like playing this game of exchanging information, we would just talk about our opinions and views on the world.

I thought then that his views were a bit skewed, and now… I see how his opinions have changed him. I wonder… had he grown up differently, would we have been better friends?

It’s not a good idea to dwell on the past, but sometimes… I like to look back and try to see where things could have been changed, altered. I wonder… if I had been better friends with Izaya then, perhaps he wouldn’t play with humans as he does now. I doubt he’d be much different, really, but it’s an interesting thought.
